Exclusive Offer Specifically for the 2019
Bohicket Billfish Invitational on May 8-11, 2019
Reston, Va. and Melbourne, Fla. – mazu, a leading marine technology and satellite communications brand and ROFFS™ (Roffer’s Ocean Fishing Forecasting Service), a scientific consulting company, announced today an expanded partnership to offer the Offshore Offense Tournament Package – the only information and hardware solution designed specifically for offshore tournaments. Offshore Offense is available for the first time to anglers competing in the First Leg of the Governor’s Cup 2019 Bohicket Billfish Invitational to be held on May 8-11, 2019, with the possibility of other tournaments later this year.
Offering anglers the competitive upper hand with information only available to subscribers, the Offshore Offense Tournament Package includes:
- A mazu m2500 satellite communication system with installation and activation
- Daily ROFFS analysis and updates during the tournament
- Unlimited satellite data during the tournament
- An invitation to a seminar hosted by ROFFS and mazu
While all ROFFS subscribers will continue to get their evening reports, Offshore Offense subscribers will also get a morning update during the tournament that will give them added insight into how conditions have changed overnight.
With the mazu SportFishing app, anglers can view and download their ROFFS fishing forecast hot spots while offshore. These hot spot locations from ROFFS are digitally overlaid directly onto detailed sea surface temperature (SST), chlorophyll, current and altimetry charts in the mazu SportFishing app for iPad. SportFishing app is accessible over satellite for offshore use via mazu m2500 hardware, those users are also able to receive ROFFS reports and updates while offshore and out of cellular or WiFi range.
“With mazu Sport Fishing, anglers get access to the best Sport Fishing data,” said Craig Myers, director of product management, mazu. “We built on that offering with our ROFFS integration back in February, and the addition of Offshore Offense is a very exciting next step. SST, chlorophyll, altimetry, currents and more, combined with exclusive updates from ROFFS, gives Offshore Offense subscribers a huge advantage over the competition.”
“One of the most important resources to have once you leave the inlet is up-to-date information on how the ocean conditions have changed in the past 8-12 hours,” said Matthew Upton, president and owner, ROFFS. “If the clouds do not interfere, the ROFFS updates in this package overlays a list of recommended hot spot locations to fish based on the morning satellite imagery. It is exactly what you need to get the most accurate real-time offshore options for your target species.”
